Pass house bill 463 for the sake of families in PA.
The PA system of local courts and local attorneys interacting with local evaluators sets up a close network of referrals that turn into cold hard cash for everyone at the expense of the family.
If the current system remains it’s a big win for the family law industry that already lacks oversight and accountability.
Put children 1st and allow them to have BOTH parents!!!!
Pass bill 463!!

House Bill 463, the Presumptive Joint-Custody law, would, at the outset of a couple’s separation or divorce, give each parent equal custody of their children provided that the children wouldn’t be put at risk. It outlines cases such as physical abuse, drug abuse, criminal history and sexual abuse as examples why it wouldn’t be granted. It requires parents to submit a parenting plan and give the judge the authority to order counseling for them, but it still leaves the door open for appeals by both parents and decisions by the judge for a different custody arrangement. What does this bill do? It insures that a child will not be kept away from another parent during separation or divorce while the slow wheel of family law turns. Some cases taking years to settle. The proposed amendment also outlines clear penalties for contempt for parents who violate the order. Such as in the case of parental alienation. These penalties mimic current law which is rarelly if ever inforced. Currently there are 30 states with similar laws. Opposer fail to inform you of this. There are landmark protections for children in this bill. Please log onto hb463.com for complete info and bill review. This is homework that should have been done by your reporter.
