You are probably aware of
the many great national programs we air on WPSU-TV, produced by PBS and
other PBS-Member Stations. You may not realize, however, that many of the
programs on WPSU-TV are produced right here in Central Pennsylvania.

- Hometown Double Play
This show chronicles the Altoona Curve and State College Spikes, providing insight into what makes minor league baseball important to central Pennsylvania.

- Our Town
This series profiles the people, places, and happenings of central Pennsylvania
communities, shot and narrated by the towns' residents.
Archived Series

- Pennsylvania Inside Out
This exciting public affairs program provides in-depth information on the
issues, events and people affecting the communities served by WPSU and
Penn State.

- Music from Penn State
Created by WPSU-TV in collaboration with Penn State's Schools of Music and
Theatre, this series highlights various musical groups and performers including
both Penn State students and faculty.

- Huddle Up
Fridays during football season, WPSU's David Price leads a discussion of Penn State football complete with weekly highlights and analysis.

- Courtside with Coquese
This show features an intimate look at the Lady Lions basketball program
with new head coach, Coquese Washington.

- Let's Talk Sports Nittany Lion Fans
Steve Jones hosts this weekly program of
Penn State sports highlights and in-depth interviews with Penn State
athletic newsmakers.

- WPSU
Cooks!
WPSU Cooks! showcases some
of Pennsylvania's favorite food memories. Garnering rave reviews and fan
input, past shows have included "E is for Ethnic", "C is for Chocolate",
and "F is for Family Favorites".

- To The Best Of My Knowledge
Penn State President,
Graham Spanier discusses a variety of light to serious topics with Penn
State faculty, local experts and national guests.
Documentaries & Specials

- Pennsylvania's
Gas Rush
A live, call-in program that explored the natural gas rush in Pennsylvania's Marcellus Shale. An expert panel offered objective and reliable advice about natural gas exploration, drilling, lease negotiations, environmental impacts and more.

- Pennsylvania
War Stories: The Lucky Ones
From hometowns across the state - Erie, Lock Haven, Altoona - they served;
they survived. Pennsylvania veterans share their memorable World War
II experiences in Europe, the Pacific and at home in this WPSU documentary
highlighting Pennsylvania's contributions to the war effort.

- Children and Autism: Time Is Brain
This 30-minute documentary features two families faced with the daunting challenge
of raising a child with autism, their therapists, and a board certified behavior
analysts designing learning environments for people with autism and developmental
disabilities.

- The Grange
Fair: An American Tradition
This Emmy Award-winning documentary chronicles a vanishing piece of Americana,
one of the last remaining agricultural encampment fairs in the country, and the
families who spend months preparing for this unique rural phenomena.

- LifeLink
PSU: A Road to Independence
This production traces the individual stories of eight special needs students
participating in this project, their difficulties, their triumphs, and their
personal growth as they work toward independence.

- Raise the
Song: The History of Penn State
This all-new documentary examines the people and events that have taken the commonwealth's
land grant university from its humble roots as the state farmer's high school
to an internationally recognized place of learning.

- Small Ball: A Little
League Story
This documentary captures the hope, thrills and excitement
of players, parents and coaches as a team of 11- and 12-year-old Little
Leaguers go from their small town all the way to the 2002 Little League
Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

- Tracks Across The Sky
A revered national landmark collides with nature’s most powerful forces
in TRACKS ACROSS THE SKY, a documentary about Pennsylvania’s
Kinzua Viaduct. Watch as a devastating twister takes aim at what
was once the highest and longest railroad bridge in the world.

- Water:
An Endangered Resource
This program looks at the problem polluted water, resulting from drainage
from abandoned coal mines, has on wildlife, recreation and the economy
and what is being done to clean it up.
