For decades, baseball from Little League to college, has been etched into the lives of central Pennsylvanians. With the addition of two minor league baseball teams, the Altoona Curve and State College Spikes, a new dimension has been added to the summer entertainment landscape.

“Hometown Double Play” chronicles the Curve and Spikes, providing insights into what makes minor league baseball important to central Pennsylvania.

“We want fans to experience the summer pastime through the eyes of players, management, and especially the community,” says host Steve Jones. “Our goal is to find what makes minor league baseball the region’s best summer entertainment.”
