Keith Richardson / Republican

Biography:

Keith RichardsonKeith Richardson believes Congress needs a qualified proponent of fiscal responsibility and family-affirming public polices. Richardson has practiced law in both State and Federal Appellate Courts and has taught Constitutional Law and Ethics, and he recognizes the need for sweeping reforms in the legal system.

Richardson left a successful career in law to lead a small country church. He is currently serving his second pastorate at the First Baptist Church of Clarion where he also leads outreach efforts to Clarion University’s community.

Richardson and his wife live in Clarion with their nine children, seven of whom are adopted.

Congress should support alternative energy research, such as clean-coal and ethanol projects, and also promote nuclear power and conservation.

No Child Left Behind

NCLB is failing to close the achievement gap, won't make its 2014 goals, and has not significantly improved reading and math achievement. The law should be scrapped.

Transportation Funding

Lease roads to private entities and abolish the Turnpike Commission.
