Writers Contest

PBS Kids Go Writers Contest

Contest runs from now through April 5th. Winners will be announced in May 2013.

Few things capture a child’s imagination like a good book. Please join WPSU, WQED, and West Virginia Public Broadcasting as we encourage children in Pennsylvania and West Virginia to create their own stories and to take part in the PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest.

Contest entrants must be in kindergarten, first, second, or third grade

Visit the Contest page on WQED's education page for contest rules and the entry form and return to WQED with your original illustrated story. You can also find out about all our great prizes! Everyone who enters receives a certificate of achievement.

Grownups, visit our Resources page for great tips to support your young writer.

Finally, browse through Previous Winners for inspiration for your story!
