Available Positions

Business Manager III

We have a great opportunity if you would like to work with a broad variety of external funding sources, plus want to financially manage both the pre- and post-award processes for grants and contracts at Penn State Public Broadcasting. You will prepare and/or approve budgets, set up restricted accounts and report on progress; work with Project Teams to monitor externally-funded project status, prompt team to meet milestones, and ensure funding guidelines are followed; provide financial analysis; interpret data and make recommendations to senior staff. Ensure expenditures are in compliance with contract guidelines and with Penn State procedures; approve financial transactions. Provide guidance to PSPB staff and ensure proper accounting procedures are followed. Coordinate with University and external auditors and research accounting. Respond to requests for information and maintain necessary documentation as required by contract. Assist Senior Management in developing plans to strategically position new and current contracts.

Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in finance or accounting, plus three years of work-related experience. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and sensitivity to working with diverse audiences. A working knowledge of databases (Access, FileMaker Pro) and Excel is required.
