Description:

WPSU Penn State and World Campus Learning Design are seeking an energetic, dynamic and creative individual to fill an open position within our production team. A passion for public media, a creative sense of contemporary visual style, and a willingness to work hard are critical to success in this position. The Producer/Director will work under the direction of IT Manager and Lead Producers within WPSU and World Campus Learning Design to coalesce video production and the management of digital assets and provide production and multimedia assistance across a wide variety of distribution platforms such as broadcast television, web, and special events. Demonstrated skills should include: strong organizational and media management skills, production planning, coordinating production crews and facilities, studio production, and maintaining production standards. Additional skills such as video editing, graphic design, marketing and promotions, community outreach, public speaking, and social media will be considered. This job will be filled as a level 1, or level 2, depending upon the successful candidate’s competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Applicants should be prepared to share a demo reel (or link) of past projects. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
