Sue hit the nail on the head. My son is in her first grade class and I teach the third grade class. The kids and I loved it. Nicely done Mrs. Shaffner!!!

This review is spot-on! I loved the book, too, for all the reasons that you mention. I would add that besides being of interest to fisherpeople, graphic artists, and first graders, it’s of interest to anyone interested in ethics and morality. So much to discuss! Also, your energetic delivery makes me think your first graders are lucky to have you reading stories to them.
