Description:

WPSU Penn State seeks a Financial Coordinator to join its Finance team in a dynamic and creative work environment. WPSU is a PBS and NPR member station, licensed through the Penn State Board of Trustees. WPSU’s mission is to spark discovery, enrich learning, and strengthen community through vibrant public media. This position contributes to our mission by serving as a primary financial point of contact for WPSU and coordinating the entry, review, and processing of financial transactions, including purchasing card administration. Other financial responsibilities include calculating expense chargebacks and creating journal entries, assisting with annual external audits and compliance tasks, and other projects, as assigned.

Successful candidates should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, excellent organization skills, a customer service focus, excellent written or oral communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse audiences.

Minimum requirements include an Associate’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, plus three years of work-related experience or equivalent education and experience. Candidates should also have proficiency with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on experience using Excel effectively.

This position will require successful completion of standard background checks.
