Digging Deeper: Convergence Research
In this edition of Digging Deeper, Penn State President Eric Barron discusses a new style of research in which experts from many disciplines coordinate their technologies and knowledge in ways that produce exponential advances. By breaking down the barriers between traditional departments, researchers have collaborated across disciplines in exciting new ways. These collaborations have led to new discoveries and innovative use of instrumentation.
