Learn Ethiopian recipes from guest chef Etayehu Zenebe. Etey began her mastery of Ethiopian cuisine from her grandmother who was in charge of the traditional kitchen of the Ethiopian palace for Haile Selassie I, emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974. At the elbow of her grandmother, Etayehu learned to use her senses to create unique, healthy and nourishing meals. Today, she works with local farmers to glean the vegetables and fruits that she uses in her cooking. Etayehu also has a strong commitment to being zero-waste and packs her meals in mason jars that her customers then return.
