couscous

JZoubeida and Steveoin us on Sunday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT) and spend time, in Tunisia, with guest chefs Zoubeida Ounaies and Steve Carpenter, as they prepare a selection of delicious and savory dishes on this episode of World Kitchen. They will share three of their favorite family recipes: slata mechouia (grilled salad), brik (fried appetizer), and couscous with chicken and vegetables. You can work along with them, or save the recipes and video to create your Tunisian feast when it works for you.

Zoubeida Ounaies is from Tunis, Tunisia. To satiate her longing for home, she learned to cook her mother’s best recipes. Zoubeida is a professor of mechanical engineering and director of the Research Center for Living Materials at Penn State. Steve Carpenter was born in Washington, D.C.
